I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
